Uses of Clomfranil 10mg Tablet

Clomfranil 10mg Tablet is used to treat depression and is particularly useful for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), where it can reduce intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviours. It is also prescribed for panic disorder and phobias, and occasionally for sudden muscle weakness (cataplexy) in narcolepsy. • Dry mouth
• Drowsiness or tiredness

Precautions and warnings

• Tell your doctor if you have heart disease or a recent heart attack, epilepsy, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, liver disease or bipolar disorder.
• Do not take it with MAOI antidepressants, and check with your doctor before combining it with other medicines that raise serotonin, such as SSRIs or tramadol.
• Do not stop it suddenly; your doctor will reduce the dose gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
• Avoid alcohol and do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
• An overdose of tricyclic antidepressants is dangerous, so store it safely, and talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
