Uses of Fenkil 20mg Tablet

Fenkil 20mg Tablet is used to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It helps control symptoms but does not slow the underlying joint disease, and because it is long-acting its effect lasts throughout the day.

Tenoxicam blocks the cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that the body uses to make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins drive pain, swelling and inflammation, so lowering them eases symptoms. Prostaglandins also protect the stomach lining and support blood flow to the kidneys, which explains its main side effects.

• Avoid taking it with other NSAIDs, and tell your doctor about blood thinners, steroids, SSRIs, lithium, methotrexate and blood pressure medicines.
• Take it with or after food, and use it for the shortest time needed to control symptoms.
• Avoid it in the last three months of pregnancy, and speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
