Uses of Fentyzole V 0.02 Cream

Fentyzole V 0.02 Cream is used to treat vaginal thrush (candidiasis), which typically causes itching, soreness and a thick white discharge, as well as some mixed vaginal infections. In cream form it is also applied to the skin for fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, pityriasis versicolor and candida infections in skin folds.

How Fentyzole V 0.02 Cream works

Fenticonazole stops fungi from making ergosterol, an essential building block of their cell membrane. The membrane becomes leaky and the fungus can no longer grow or survive. It also has some activity against certain bacteria, which can be useful when a vaginal infection is mixed.

Possible side effects

Fentyzole V 0.02 Cream acts mainly where it is applied, so side effects tend to be local and mild, such as:

• Burning or stinging when applied
