Uses of Hirudoid Cream 20gm

Hirudoid Cream 20gm is applied to the skin to help bruises, swelling and small collections of blood under the skin (haematomas) settle more quickly. It is also used to ease pain and tenderness from superficial thrombophlebitis, where a vein close to the skin becomes inflamed, for example after a drip or injection. It is suitable for minor injuries where the skin is unbroken.

How Hirudoid Cream 20gm works

Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate is a heparin-like substance. When rubbed into the skin it helps break down small clots and reduces local inflammation, improving blood flow in the tissue. This helps the body reabsorb trapped blood and fluid, so swelling and discolouration fade faster.

Possible side effects
