Kaltin 486.6 mg / 43.3 mg Suspension mixture is used for short-term relief of mild, uncomplicated diarrhoea in adults. It can help firm up loose stools, but it does not treat the cause of the diarrhoea or replace lost fluids. For most cases, especially in children, oral rehydration salts (ORS) are the most important treatment, and diarrhoea usually settles on its own within a few days.

Kaolin is a fine natural clay and pectin is a soluble fibre from fruit. Together they absorb water, bacteria and irritants in the gut, forming a gel that bulks up the stool and makes it firmer. They are not absorbed into the body and pass out in the stools.
