Uses of Lochol EZ 10mg+20mg Tablet

Lochol EZ 10mg+20mg Tablet is used to lower LDL (‘bad’) cholesterol in people whose levels stay too high on a statin alone, or who are already taking both medicines separately. Lowering cholesterol reduces the build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries and the risk of heart attack and stroke. It works best alongside a low-fat diet, regular exercise and not smoking.

Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme the liver uses to make cholesterol, which also prompts the liver to pull more LDL out of the blood. Ezetimibe works in the small intestine, reducing how much cholesterol is absorbed from food and bile. Together they lower cholesterol more than either one alone.

• Your doctor may check your liver function and cholesterol levels with blood tests.
• Limit alcohol, as heavy drinking can affect the liver.
