Uses of Luda 40mg Tablet

Luda 40mg Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia in adults and adolescents, helping control symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions and confused thinking and reducing the risk of relapse. In some countries it is also used to treat episodes of depression in bipolar disorder. It tends to cause less weight gain than some other antipsychotics.

How Luda 40mg Tablet works

Lurasidone blocks dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors in the brain, which reduces psychotic symptoms. It also acts on other serotonin receptors involved in mood and thinking, which may contribute to its effect on depression.

Possible side effects
