Lukomon 5 mg Tablet contains Montelukast 5mg, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Made by Platinum, it is prescribed for asthma, exercise-induced breathing problems and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Pack size: 14 tablets.

Uses of Lukomon 5 mg Tablet

Lukomon 5 mg Tablet is used for the long-term control of asthma in adults and children, and to help prevent narrowing of the airways triggered by exercise. It is also used to relieve symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis, such as a blocked or runny nose and sneezing.

How Lukomon 5 mg Tablet works

Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals released in the airways that cause swelling, mucus and tightening of the airway muscles. This helps keep the airways open. It is a preventer, not a reliever, so it does not stop an asthma attack that has already started.
