Uses of Mediflox D Eye Drop

Mediflox D Eye Drop is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye where there is also significant inflammation, such as some cases of conjunctivitis and inflammation of the eyelids. They are also used after eye surgery to prevent infection and reduce swelling. They should only be used when prescribed, as steroid eye drops are not suitable for all red eyes.

How Mediflox D Eye Drop works

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from copying their DNA, so they cannot multiply and the infection clears. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that calms the immune response in the eye, reducing redness, swelling, pain and discomfort while the antibiotic works.

• Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye.
• Remove contact lenses before use unless advised otherwise, and leave a few minutes between different eye drops.

Storage

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed and do not use it after the expiry date or the period stated on the label once opened. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
