Uses of Solophar Spray Oral 50ml

Solophar Spray Oral 50ml is used to relieve the soreness and discomfort of minor mouth and throat infections. Sucked slowly as a lozenge, it acts directly on the lining of the mouth and throat, where it helps control the bacteria and yeasts that can cause a sore throat, irritated gums and mild oral thrush. It eases symptoms locally but does not replace antibiotics when a doctor finds a more serious bacterial infection.

How Solophar Spray Oral 50ml works

Dequalinium chloride is an antiseptic that disrupts the outer membrane of bacteria and fungi, causing their contents to leak out so they cannot survive. Because it works on contact, it acts mainly where it is applied, on the surfaces of the mouth and throat, with little absorbed into the body.

Possible side effects

Solophar Spray Oral 50ml is generally well tolerated. Side effects, when they happen, are usually mild and may include:

• Soreness of the tongue
• Irritation of the mouth lining
• Mild stinging or burning in the mouth
• Itchy skin rash

Stop using it and get medical help straight away if you develop swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a widespread rash. See a doctor if a sore throat is severe, comes with a high fever, or has not improved within a few days.

Precautions and warnings
